Coalition watch

The Coalition Government has pledged to support the charity sector, primarily as part of its Big Society agenda. In its Programme for Government, the Coalition said it will take action to support and encourage volunteering and philanthropy, and encourage charities to have greater involvement in the running of public services.  However, this comes against a backdrop of substantial funding cuts which are having a detrimental effect on charities across the country.

Here you will find details of the latest policies affecting the sector, news on the funding cuts and CFG's engagement with Government.
