Prepare for change

Tuesday, 23 Oct 2012, 08:45 - 17:00

Overview

Change is one of life’s few certainties. What matters is how we respond to change. As financial experts in fast-shifting environments, our task is to engage with colleagues in the allocation of scarce resources, so we can do more with less.

In this participative day, you’ll learn tools and techniques which you can use immediately to prepare you and others for change. You’ll explore how to deal with the unexpected and how to create conditions in which creativity and adaptability can flourish in your organisation. This will equip you to drive and maintain change.
During the day, you will:

• discover ways to lead your organisation in enhancing performance and growth in tough times
• reflect on your role as financial expert
• learn tools and techniques to increase the cohesion and productivity of your organisation
• develop your skills in building collaborative, robust solutions, using engaging, practical, hands-on methods

The course has a strong foundation in applied improvisation.  These approaches are being taught in leading organisations and business schools around the world.

Here is a short (1m7sec) video on what applied improvisation looks like in organisations  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chrdn3w9ySM&feature=context-cha .

Here is another short (40 sec) video describing our approach to the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ_H-c3OPsU&feature=plcp
