This training is to give a good basic foundation to equip those who work with the finances of small groups or charities to be able to know how to increase their income by setting up and working with Gift Aid.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of the key principles and methods:

Who should attend?
Those who work with the finances and money handling in a small charity or a small group. This can be a volunteer, treasurer, finance person, or other manager/CEO.

There is a travel bursary scheme available for those who live in rural areas and need some additional financial support to travel to the trainings; this scheme is for those who live a fair distance from the nearest training session and whose organisation has less than £50,000 annual income. Birmingham New Street Station

When leaving the train take the exit to Moor Street/Bull Ring/TK Maxx, there will be a Oliver Bonas store on your left and a Benugo on your right as you leave the station.

Upon exiting the station continue straight on keeping T K Maxx on you right, cross over the road and enter the Bullring Shopping Centre.

Take the escalators down one level to the ground floor and continue straight ahead until you reach the exit on your right (next to Burger King).

Exit the Bull Ring shopping centre and continue down the slope keeping St Martins Church on your right. Cross over at the traffic lights. BVSC is 20 metres down the hill from the corner of Digbeth.

Moor Street Station

Local and some long distance trains stop at Moor Street.

Turn left out of the station exit and then follow the footpath round left again.

As you walk keep the Selfridges store (building with silver disks all over it) on your right hand side.

Walk down the hill and cross straight over the road by the traffic lights and turn right at the car park in front of you.

Follow the road along to the corner of Digbeth and BVSC is 20 metres further along on the left.

Car parking

There are several Pay & Display Car Parks located close to BVSC.

Disabled car parking

We have 2 spaces at the rear of 138 Digbeth for disabled people visiting by car. You should call to book well in advance of your event.

From Birmingham city centre, turn left from Digbeth onto Allison Street then left again onto Well Lane. Our entry is right at the end of Well Lane.

Motorcycles and cycles

We have cycle parking by the rear entrance to the building.

Digbeth Coach Station
(National Express) is a short distance from BVSC.

From the station entrance, cross the main road and walk about 400 metres up the hill towards the city centre.

You will pass the Police Station (corner of Allison Street/Digbeth) to your right – BVSC is a little further up the road on the same side.

All CFG’s training sessions for small charities are supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to keep costs low. There is a fee of just £20 for each half day training. You can book by pressing on the book now button at the bottom of this page.

Terms and Conditions:

Written notice of cancellations up to 21 days before an event will incur a 25% administration fee. After this time period, a 100% cancellation charge will apply. Substitutions (i.e. name changes) for the course booked can be made free of charge.

CFG reserves the right to cancel any event two weeks prior to the event date. You will be entitled to a full refund or given the opportunity to transfer to an alternative date. However we regret that we cannot refund any travel or accommodation costs incurred by delegates. CFG accepts no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from an act of God, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the date, time or the venue at any time prior to the event date. If this occurs you will be informed of changes and given the opportunity to cancel or transfer to an alternative date.

CFG reserves the right to amend the content of the programme or the speakers where necessary without consulting booked delegates.
