London & South East Members' Meeting - London

Tuesday, 11 Jul 2017, 15:00 - 18:30

Overview

Collaborating & Outsourcing

There’s pressure on charities to become more efficient in delivering services, whilst keeping overheads and outgoings low.  Different styles of working involving other organisations can improve efficiency and this meeting will explore the benefits and risks associated with outsourcing.

In response to member feedback, we’ve changed the format of some of the members’ meetings to allow for more discussion and debate between delegates and speakers. Importantly, the meetings will still include our popular networking receptions.

The new format will be rolled out in 2017 at all regional meetings and most of the London meetings.

This event will have a limit of 40 places.

When to outsource

Many charities are struggling to maintain their levels of service while keeping costs low. Outsourcing services can help charities operate more effectively by providing additional expertise, increasing efficiency, complying with regulations and freeing up resources to focus on the core mission. Hear how outsourcing has helped a charity and how to manage the risks involved such as identifying suitable providers, the impact on the charity’s reputation and how to manage external and internal staff relationships.
