Good controls & preventing fraud (LONDON/MANCHESTER)
This practical course will give you management tools to develop the way you manage risks through good internal controls. The control environment is part of the overall governance of the organisation and so will be determined as much by the culture in the organisation as by more formal systems and procedures. Controls are not limited to financial procedures – far from it. A good control environment protects the organisation’s reputation as well as other assets.
By the end of this course you will have a better understanding of:
- What is a control and what is a good control?
- Practical examples and exercises in designing good controls
- Delegation of authority
- Understanding your organisation’s exposure to fraud risks
- Fraud response plans
- Whistleblowing policy and procedures
Interactive presentations and case studies.
Who should attend:
Anyone in the finance function who is responsible for designing and implementing financial controls in their organisation.
