HR Essentials - Employment status and contracts and managing dismissals - (LONDON)
This full day training session explores essential areas when employing staff and how these impact your charity. It will giv eyou the knowledge and skills to address the legal and practical aspects when negotiating employment contracts, how to understand different types of contracts and how to manage staff dismissals, following disciplinary action or through redundancy.
The morning will look at employment status and the legal obligation relating to the use of atypical staff. You will gain a firm understanding of the different types of workers and how to draft contracts to ensure they are in line with your legal responsibilities, whilst protecting your own organisation.
The afternoon will cover how to manage staff dismissal and redundancies and the steps you should take to avoid ending up in a tribunal. It will give you an overview of the ACAS Code of Practice, outline best practice and offer guidance on processes which can limit the risk of litigation.
