CFG’s volunteers are at the heart of our mission. They help shape our communities, strengthen our network, provide vital expertise in charity finance, and share their diverse skills and experiences.
This award recognises an outstanding individual whose contribution has made a significant and positive impact on our members and the wider sector.
This award celebrates a volunteer who has gone above and beyond to support fellow members – someone whose generosity, care and commitment have made a real difference.
What we'll be looking for
Impact: Concrete ways their time and support has helped members and therefore positively impacted our members’ communities.
Community spirit: Builds and supports connection, lifts people up, and embodies our values of support, integrity and dynamism.
Generosity: Consistently shows up for others and can be counted on to share their own expertise, resources and insights – and those of others.
There’s no judging panel for this award – it’s a special honour agreed and awarded by CFG's staff team.
Although there is no formal process for nominating CFG's Volunteer of the Year in 2026, you are welcome to share your appreciation of one or more of CFG's volunteers.
This could be someone who leads or chairs a CFG activity or group, or a person who has had a positive impact on you or your team through their voluntary work.
