This members' meeting will give you the opportunity to learn more about internal controls, and how these can ensure your organisation is producing reliable financial reporting and is compliant with law. 

The final session will consider your financial processes so your organisation can streamline its expenditure.

Both sessions will have a 20-minute long discussion, so you will have the space to share ideas and ask questions most relevant to your charity.

This meeting is free of charge and is for CFG members only.

 
Speakers

Fleur Holden, Partner, Sayer Vincent

Fleur is a Partner at Sayer Vincent, advisors to the charity and not-for-profit sector. Fleur has a wide range of external audit clients and her particular specialisms lie in the health and social care sector and international charities. In addition to statutory audit, Fleur undertakes many donor audits for a wide range of funders including USAID, EC, SIDA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. She also undertakes a range of advisory assignments, particularly in respect of technical charity accounting issues, and is a member of the firm’s technical group whose focus is to ensure both staff and clients remain up-to-date with all current auditing and accounting issues, as well as remaining compliant with the latest regulations. 

Guy Burton, Pre-Sales Consultant, Advanced

Guy has worked within the software industry for over 25 years. Coming from an accounting background, he specialises in financial management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Working with a wealth of organisations over the breadth of his career from SMEs to PLCs, he uses this knowledge and expertise to aid Advanced customers and prospective clients in finding the right solution to match their current and future needs.

Kerri Shea, Chair, Charity Finance Group

Kerry is the Finance Director at Everybody Sport and Recreation, a charity which encourages individuals to improve their health through participation in recreation. Kerry previously worked for VAST, where she established their very successful Community Accountancy project. As a Chartered Management Accountant she trained in industry, then moved over to the public sector before joining the Voluntary Sector in 2008. Kerry is very passionate about charity finance and believes that finance teams are in a unique position to influence and drive their organisations, and so change the shape of the whole sector.
