This opening session will give a round-up of the latest regulation including governance, regulatory alerts and compliance that charities need to be aware of and how they might impact the sector. Join the speaker to find out how the regulations have changed for the charity sector following the second lockdown and what you have to look out for in 2021.
10:40 – 11:15 Accounting and audit update
Join this session to hear a technical update from Price Bailey on the latest accounting developments including an insight into the expected changes to the Charity SORP. Speakers will provide some tips on how to survive a remote audit and the challenges for both you and your auditor. Technical changes include the new style audit report, new requirements on going concern and significant estimates which come into effect for December 2020 year ends onwards.
Price Bailey will also clarify the new ethical guidelines and explore how those will affect your relationship with your professional advisors in the future. Finally, the speakers will pick up on Charity Commission findings on failings on accounts and their expected report on salaries in the charity sector due in Autumn 2020.

They will explore the use of an Enterprise Risk Management framework to make these challenges more manageable and maximise opportunity while mitigating the risks.
