Brewin Dolphin

We are one of the founding firms of the London Stock providing personalised, discretionary investment management services. We are the 6th largest charity investment manager and manage over £3.6bn of assets for over 1,600 UK charities.

Our charity team comprising of over 40 charity specialists in nine locations. We have been providing bespoke services to charities for generations and focus on working with charities to provide solutions in relation to their needs.

Our investment philosophy is that actively managed investment in real assets, with a bias towards attractively valued growth markets, sectors and companies will produce the required returns for our clients. A focus on valuation, momentum and news flow are applied at each stage of the investment process - asset allocation, sector strategy and stock selection - to each client’s portfolio to achieve their aims within their individual risk parameters. The emphasis placed on each factor varies at each stage of the economic and business cycle.

“My predecessor appointed Peter in July 2014 and I have known him since joining St Ann’s as Treasurer in 2015. During the following years, I and my colleagues have enjoyed our relationship with Peter and his firm, and welcome his insight on the markets and their stewardship of our investments.”

Allan Beardsworth, Trustee and Hon Treasurer, St Ann’s Hospice

“Brewin Dolphin is a large an well-established business, and has a significant research capacity. I have confidence that all investment decisions are taken on the basis of hard evidence balanced by the investment manger’s own judgment and a thorough knowledge of the clients’ needs and wishes.”
