Paul Martin, Director, Pasama Consulting Ltd.

Paul was in banking for 40 years holding a wide variety of roles. He enjoyed the last 10 years of his career at Unity Trust Bank and The Co-operative Bank leading the charity relationship teams in the corporate banking division. His work included developing the ethical policy and strategy and liaising with statutory bodies, infrastructure organisations and government departments.

Since leaving The Co-operative Bank in 2016 Paul has been actively involved in the charity sector including work as an associate consultant with BlueSpark Consulting providing advice to charities on obtaining best value for money from the banking marketplace. The most recent project was for a large scale membership organisation where the day to day banking operations were simplified, costs reduced and a new bank engaged after a full tender process.

Streamlining financial processes

16:40- 17:25

Are your existing bankers still the best value and best fit for current and future needs?

Most organisations do not find the time to consider if their existing banking arrangements remain suitable for current needs. The recent entrance of challenger banks and innovation in both products and clearing from most banks make this a good time for a review.’

Join this session to explore the potential benefits in considering a banking process review, testing the market and understand how this could have a positive impact on costs whilst also satisfying prudent financial governance.
