Ian Theodoreson Bursary

CFG and our Inspiring Financial Leadership (IFL) course partners, Sayer Vincent and The Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Bayes Business School, City St George’s University of London, are delighted to be able to offer a bursary aimed at supporting BAME led finance teams and/or organisations.

We are proud to dedicate this bursary to Ian Theodoreson, former Chair of the Charity Finance Group. More than just a founding figure of CFG—then known as CFDG—Ian was its guiding light. His unwavering commitment to a transparent and accountable charity sector shaped the organisation from its earliest days. With passion and dedication, he set a lasting benchmark for strong governance and sound financial management.

Ian was described as 'the most consequential charity finance leader of the last 25 years' and someone who gave generously of his advice and support to other leaders.
