ARTSIG Meeting September - Intro to AI

Thursday 11 September 2025

Online event

Our next free-for-members Arts and Museums Special Interest Group (ARTSIG) event will tackle the current usage and considerations for AI in the charity space.

Why should I attend?

Join us as we explore:

  • The current research behind AI
  • Its application in the charity space
  • Current usage of AI by charities
  • Barriers and key considerations for AI adoption
  • Environmental impact and practical steps for implementation

This session will be run by Carol Hounsell from Lilac Ideas

Carol started out as a management accountant at Bupa Global, then made the switch to tech with a Computer Science MSc. Since then, she’s worked across the public sector at the intersection of financial, information, and technical projects. Naturally, AI has become a perfect fit for her curiosity and interests, she’s now focused on making AI less intimidating and more useful for organisations. She founded Lilac Ideas to work with charitable organisations on data-related projects. Carol is fully independent, with no ties to software vendors or development firms.
