Eduserv and CFG launch joint digital project

CFG and Eduserv have joined forces on a research and engagement project to investigate the role of finance in digital change in the charity sector.  

The aim of the programme is to facilitate peer learning, helping charities to adapt to and get the most from the changing digital landscape. Using surveys, roundtable discussions and interviews, the project will investigate how Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) in the charity sector view digital. 

The findings will be published in a whitepaper and best practice case studies uncovered through the research will be showcased in webinars. “This project is designed to tackle the concerns of CFOs in the charity sector,” says CFG Trustee Simon Hopkins. “It’s a great opportunity for them to acquire a better understanding of the potential of digital and their future roles as business partners; not just interpreting data but championing the potential for digital to transform lives.” Natasha Veenendaal, Executive Briefing Programme Manager at Eduserv said "we are excited to be working with CFG to help charities to really get to grips with the potential of digital”. “Digital is crucial to the future of the public and third sectors if they are to remain relevant and competitive,” says Natasha. “The digital revolution is underway and it’s essential that charities don’t miss out on the transformation.”

Eduserv and CFG are running a roundtable event on equipping charity finance leaders for digital change on Tuesday 20 February, 10-1.30pm (lunch included) at Asthma UK Offices, Aldgate, London. Hosted by Harriet Jones, Director of Finance and Resources at Asthma UK, the event will cover:

• digital change programmes in the finance community
• use of digital tools within the finance function
• budgeting, forecasting and cost models for digital
• skills development and opportunities for financial professionals to take leading roles in digital change.
