Alistair leads the Charity and Corporate advisory pensions practice. He has more than 20 years of experience as an Actuary working for DB and DC pension schemes. In his role, Alistair provides advice for employers and third-sector bodies on all aspects of pension provision.

Alistair leads an experienced team familiar with the issues organisations face and with access to the modeling tools and communications skills necessary to guide Boards through a variety of solutions.

Alistair has extensive experience working with clients in the not-for-profit sector with his work focused on funding and de-risking solutions, benefit strategy, and more sector-specific issues like managing participation in multi-employer pension schemes.

Alistair offers clients advice to help Boards understand their current situation and what options are open to them as well as how these will affect the organisation, the scheme and employees. For Charities and Third Sector bodies operating their own pension scheme either as a stand-alone arrangement or in conjunction with another, we can provide a full range of actuarial, administration, data, consultancy and communication services for employers, charity trustees and scheme trustees.

Alistair is an active commentator on pensions issues within the charity sector, regularly holding webinars to educate employers on the current issues faced.

Spence also support the CFG Charity Pensions Helpline. Information of this can currently be found at https://cfg.org.uk/membership/charity_membership/helplines
