Online event
The new SORP applies to all accounting periods ending on or after 1 January 2026.
CFG will host a series of free online events to keep you up to speed with all the changes. This session is on income recognition. There is also a repeat SORP income recognition event hosted on Tuesday 18 November.
Why should I attend?
The updated Charities SORP provides a clearer distinction between exchange and non-exchange income, revising the recognition criteria and offering enhanced guidance—particularly in relation to legacies.
For exchange income, charities are now directed to apply the revised FRS 102 five-step revenue recognition model.
The session will conclude with approximately 25 minutes for Q&A.
