New SORP - Financial Statements, Disclosures, and Technical Changes

The new SORP applies to all accounting periods commencing from 1 January 2026

CFG will host a series of free online events to keep you up to speed with all the changes. This session is on financial presentation, technical considerations, disclosure requirements and structure.

 

Why should I attend?

In this session, Nigel Davies FCCA DChA will explore the following key topics:

  • Financial statement presentation and tiering, including updates to the SoFA and Statement of Cash Flows
  • Technical considerations, covering areas such as heritage assets, social investments, impairment, and accounting policies
  • Disclosure requirements, including related party transactions and total return
  • Styling and structure, highlighting content from the previous SORP that has been moved, amended, or removed

The session will conclude with approximately 25 minutes for Q&A.
