Online event
The draft Charities SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) is entering its public consultation phase. As part of this process, CFG is hosting four online free-for-members consultation meetings alongside trusted partners in order to collect your feedback for the SORP-making body as part of their development process.
Why should I attend?
This is your opportunity to influence the soon-to-be updated Charities SORP. Your input into a consultation meeting will directly inform the CFG response, which is planned to be submitted to the SORP-making body in June.
The SORP was last updated in 2019, and is integral to how charities present their accounts and financial reporting. For more information on the current SORP, please visit the Gov.uk SORP page.
How will the meetings be run?
As this is a big topic for conversation and input, we will be running four online meetings across May to ensure CFG members have ample opportunities to input. The four meetings will be identical, so you only need to attend one.
- This event page is for 19 May.
- The other consultation meetings will be hosted on 7 May, 8 May, and 14 May.
Each meeting will be managed by CFG, with the support of trusted corporate partners and experts in the sector.
The sessions will feature breakout rooms, with each room containing one facilitator and <10 charity finance members in order to promote conversation and equal share of voice.
When and where?
- 10.00am - 12.00pm
- Online: Joining instructions will be sent approximately one week prior to the event
Who should attend?
This session is free and open to all CFG members.
IMPORTANT: The breakout rooms will be recorded. These recordings will be held and viewed only by CFG team members and the respective breakout room facilitator (who will need to record said breakout room). The recordings will be solely used to accurately capture all of the input needed for the response to the SORP-making body. Once the consolidated CFG response is completed and submitted, the recordings will be deleted. All input will be anonymised outside of CFG. The recordings and findings will be used for no other purposes outside of the CFG SORP response.
Thank you to our event supporters (listed below) who will be contributing to these meetings.
