Why should I attend?
As an AIM (Association of Independent Museums) session, content is specifically tailored for those in the arts and museums space. We will cover:
- Introduction to accounting - including income, expenditure, charities SORP and more
- Charity reporting – annual returns, statutory financial statements and reporting to the Charity Commission
- Governance – including risk management, reserves and measuring impact, among others
- Charity taxation – introduction to tax and VAT
- Audit – independent examinations and external scrutiny
- Museums and Galleries Tax Relief
By the end of the day, participants will have a greater understanding and confidence when working with budgets and accounts.
