Panel discussion: Rethinking Impact – The Data We Overlook and What Really Matters

This panel invites a fresh look at how charities define and measure impact. Rather than relying solely on traditional outcomes, we'll explore the value of often-overlooked data—like staff experience, service delivery challenges, and lived experience. Panellists will discuss how incorporating these insights can lead to more inclusive and authentic understanding of effectiveness, and challenge sector norms around what counts as evidence.

Using Data to Drive Decisions and Influence Funders

This practical session focuses on how charities can build a data-informed culture that strengthens internal decision-making and supports external advocacy. We’ll look at how teams can move beyond compliance-driven data use to embed strategic, human-centred data practices that drive planning and performance. Attendees will also gain insights into tailoring data communications for funders—highlighting what matters most to them and how to make a compelling, evidence-backed case for support.
