This in-person, free-for-members, half-day event is set to help those managing investments across a range of topics, including the latest from the Charity Commission, updates in the policy space, risk, and more. This event is followed by a networking lunch, giving you time to connect with your peers. 

 

Why should I attend?

Session 1:

  • An overview of the guidance from the Charity Commission relevant to trustees, reserves and risk
  • Investment considerations and investment policies
  • What does risk mean to charities? Including risks to capital and income, volatility, inflation and more

Session 2:

  • Developing your strategic financial priorities and building your investment mandate around it
  • An introduction to the major asset classes: equities, bonds, alternatives and cash
  • Ethical investment

Session 3: 

  • The current issues, risks and opportunities in the policy space
  • What you need to know about the new SORP
  • An overview of the Charity Investment Governance Principles toolkit
