About Us

Cazenove Charities is a dedicated investment and advice team within the wealth management arm of Schroders, a FTSE-100 listed company. More than 1,670 charities, universities, foundations, endowments and other non-profit bodies have entrusted us with £10.9 billion assets under management as of 30 June 2023. We are proud to be the largest investment manager to the top 5,000 charities.

We are delighted to work with (and be trusted by) a range of sector umbrella organisations researching and promoting best practice in charity investment governance and management.

How we can help

At the outset of a relationship, we develop a good understanding of each charity’s circumstances prior to proposing an appropriate investment strategy. We then advise trustees on which long-term solution we feel is appropriate based on expected returns, time horizon, ethical requirements, and risk appetite. The solutions include our multi-asset Charity Authorised Investment Funds (CAIFs), bespoke funded portfolios, segregated equity portfolios and single strategy mandates. For charities with short-term cash reserves, our Cash Administration Service offers a variety of cash products with attractive interest rates.

We pride ourselves on the responsiveness and quality of our client relationships. Our greatest asset is our people, whose experience and skill in managing investments for charities has resulted in excellent performance, service, and client satisfaction. Many of the team are personally involved with charities as trustees and governors so there is a great deal of experience from ‘your side of the table’.

Sustainability

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are an increasingly important consideration for our clients. We can deliver on the full spectrum of sustainability, from exclusions to engagement and integration to impact. We are very familiar with implementing a range of responsible investment policies.

As a global investment manager, we recognise that we have an important part to play in shaping the future of all our stakeholders.  Our focus on doing the right thing for our clients, our people, wider society, and the planet lies at the centre of our culture. We have been incorporating ESG considerations into our investment process for over 20 years. Schroders has been named as one of the world’s most influential financial companies making a meaningful contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (Source: Financial System Benchmark | World Benchmarking Alliance 2022).

By partnering with us, you can make a real difference.
