Who we are

RBC Brewin Dolphin is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading wealth managers and traces its origins back to 1762. For more than 65 years, charity investment management has been a core part of what we do.

Whether you want to invest for income, growth, or to secure your organisation’s future, we are here to help your charity achieve its goals. Our dedicated charity investment specialists manage over £4.2* billion in investment assets for 1,700* charities from eight key offices in the UK.

Supported by our in-house expert Research team, our charity investment managers have a global investment outlook backed with environmental, social and governance factors integrated into their investment analysis approach. Furthermore, we can offer ethical screening and a range of socially responsible investment funds for those that require more specific investment considerations.

Our approach to helping charities achieve their goals

We know every charity is different, so we take the time to understand each organisation’s unique circumstances, financial objectives, risk appetite and ethical requirements, before building a portfolio tailored to a charity’s specific needs.

How we invest

At the heart of our work lies a carefully crafted investment process. We focus on sticking to a disciplined approach, and on thorough, diligent governance. From top down to bottom up, we capture and interpret macro-economic data to predict economic trends, and search for individual investment opportunities and investment funds that we believe can deliver the best opportunities for a charity.

The value of investments, and any income from them, can fall and you may get back less than you invested., We will only be bound by specific investment restrictions which have been requested by you and agreed by us.

“My predecessor appointed Peter in July 2014 and I have known him since joining St Ann’s as Treasurer in 2015. During the following years, I and my colleagues have enjoyed our relationship with Peter and his firm, and welcome his insight on the markets and their stewardship of our investments.”

Allan Beardsworth, Trustee and Hon Treasurer, St Ann’s Hospice
