Pensions for people, not profit

The Cheviot Trust, an award winning not-for-profit master trust established in 1930, provides high quality pension management services for around 500 employers including a growing number of charities.

The governance requirements on pension schemes continue to grow and, coupled with the ever-changing legislative environment surrounding pensions, contribute to the increased burden on employers.  Employees and finance professionals in particular are spending increasing amounts of time ensuring that regulatory requirements are met.  Cheviot can help to navigate through the pensions maze by providing simple pension solutions to CFG members and the Charity sector.

Cheviot's trust structure allows non-associated employers to benefit from economies of scale by accessing pooled services for both final salary and money purchase schemes.  All schemes benefit from Cheviot’s robust governance, efficient administration, dynamic investment strategy, together with clear employer and member communications.

A single board of trustee directors, which includes employer and member representatives, means that the interests of members and employers are always at the forefront of any decision making process. The trustees combine insight and experience to execute governance at the highest level.  Cheviot has adopted the Audit Assurance Framework for both mastertrusts and internal controls which demonstrates the robustness of all Cheviot's processes.

Cheviot offers a total management service for final salary schemes, an innovative defined contribution scheme, auto-enrolment services for workplace pensions, and a leading edge, trust based approach to providing flexible retirement options for members. There is no minimum size requirement to join our scheme.

Our structure and approach allows employers to focus on their business, whilst providing peace of mind that employees’ retirement savings are well managed.
