Protecting your organisation from cyber security breaches is vital. Experts from Adapta Consulting shared their insights and best practice guidance with CFG's Arts Sector Special Interest Group in July and it's recommended viewing for all!
Hardly a week goes by without another announcement being made about an organisation that has suffered a data breach or an information security incident.
There are many reasons why these incidents happen, and it can be all too easy to focus entirely on IT considerations such as ‘locking down’ systems to minimise the chances of data loss or unauthorised access.
While these approaches are, of course, important, many organisations would benefit more from simpler measures in the first instance.
At a recent webinar hosted by CFG's Arts Sector Special Interest Group, data and security specialists Keith Collins, Libby Hare and Paul Sypko from Adapta Consulting gave an overview of the common risks and potential pitfalls in relation to information and cyber security.
Examples of best practices and practical tips were shared with attendees, along with guidance around risks in relation to staff, volunteers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Regardless of your organisation's sector, the webinar contains a wealth of information and experience that's sure to be of value.
