Does your charity have a great story to tell? Will you share it with us?
Charity Finance Group (CFG) is inviting charity finance professionals from across the UK to speak at CFG’s Annual Conference in 2024.
This is your opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with peers, and learn from others in the CFG community.
The CFG Annual Conference will be held in London on 27 June 2024.
At this year's 2023 conference, we welcomed more than 650 attendees from the world of charity finance and operations. And next year's event is set to be just as popular, with another packed programme and large exhibition.
We are now looking for expressions of interest to speak at conference. If you would like to submit a proposal, please read on...
This year's theme: Shaping Tomorrow
CFG values diversity and we invite professionals, leaders and practitioners from a wide range of professional backgrounds and charitable organisations to share their experiences.
Together, we shape a conference programme suitable for every attendee, regardless of their career stage, sector background and specialisms.
Each year, we welcome not only finance professionals, but those who work alongside the finance function, including HR and IT teams. Together we shape the future of our organisations and communities.
Our aims are to:
- develop leaders at all levels to influence ideas and inspire others
- nurture and grow talent across the finance team and beyond
- foster a culture of continuous learning, problem-solving and innovation
Share your story at Annual Conference 2024: submit your session by Monday 11 December 2023.
If you have any questions, please email events@cfg.org.uk.
Speaking at CFG's Annual Conference is a unique and rewarding experience. But don't just take our word for it, read this reflection from Stuart Walsh who presented earlier this year:
"...Fast forward to the 29 June, and somehow I am presenting to finance professionals at the CFG Annual Conference #CFGAC23 in London. After some gentle persuasion, I found myself at the podium talking about the Employee Value Proposition at Motability.
"And why not, we have a really good story to tell at Motability where we spent the last few years enhancing the employee proposition – reflected in our recent excellent employee survey results.
"The crazy thing is I actually enjoyed it in the end! After my presentation, I had some really kind messages and several people approached me at the conference to say that the presentation was inspiring and really useful.
"So thank you CFG for providing the opportunity, the event was really well attended and super organised! If you have a good story to tell but like me feeling nervous about the prospect of presenting, my advice is just go for it!
"Contrary to my own thought process, my head didn’t fall off during or after the presentation. Just take a deep breath, practice and get over yourself – trust me, you will not regret it."
