We're leaving X

The social media platform X no longer aligns with CFG's values. We hope you'll join us on Bluesky and Linkedin if you haven't already.

You may have noticed that we’ve been less active on X (Twitter). Over the past few months, we’ve been posting less on there, and have been increasing our social media presence on other platforms, such as LinkedIn and Bluesky.

Over the years, we have used Twitter to have hundreds of interesting and enjoyable conversations with the charity finance community and the wider charity sector. However, the platform no longer aligns with our values.

Our core values of integrity, support, and dynamism are at the heart of this decision. Our commitment to integrity means we cannot continue to actively engage with a platform that increasingly promotes divisive content.

As an organisation dedicated to supporting the charity sector, we believe our resources are better directed toward platforms that aim to provide an inclusive space where charitable voices are heard and amplified, and contribute positively to the causes we all serve.

Furthermore, our value of dynamism underpins our curiosity and engagement with the evolving social media landscape, embracing new platforms that offer more constructive environments for meaningful engagement and community building.

As such, CFG will no longer be posting to X from Wednesday 26 February 2025.

We will not be closing our account, as many of our followers are still active on the platform, and may want to access past conversations or to contact us through X.

We will instead be focusing our efforts on developing our other platforms, and we would particularly love to see our followers join us on Bluesky, where we are sharing all our latest news, articles, updates, events and more!

If you have any questions or suggestions on CFG’s social media, please don’t hesitate to contact either Emma Abbott, Communications Manager or Nicola George, Digital Communications Manager.
