Charity Finance Group (CFG) announces the launch of The Transformation Collaborative (TTC), an innovative programme designed to empower charity finance leaders to transform themselves, their organisations and the wider sector.
Developed following consultation with CFG’s members and the wider sector, TTC represents CFG's commitment to supporting leaders to tackle some of the charity sector's most pressing challenges.
The initiative launches with two interconnected strands:
1. For CFG members, Transforming You, a paid-for programme which offers facilitated action learning sets for senior charity leaders.
2. For the wider sector Transforming Our Sector, a collaborative space for driving systemic change on the financial sustainability issues that affect the entire social sector.
The Transformation Collaborative was shaped after extensive consultation with CFG’s members and sector leaders throughout 2024 and 2025, including a pivotal consultation event in June 2025.
Caron Bradshaw OBE, Growth and Sector Solutions Lead at CFG, explains:
“What emerged from our consultations was a hunger for something different. Our members told us they needed trusted spaces to explore difficult questions, test new approaches and work collaboratively on the systemic issues that affect their organisations and us all.
“It was further cemented to me by the launch of the Civil Society Covenant last summer. It led me to ask where and when we could work together to identify tangible and practical actions we can all take, drawing on the great ideas and innovations we are seeing emerge across the nation.
“The Transformation Collaborative is our response – a programme for CFG’s members that recognises that transformation starts from within, but its impact must extend far beyond our own organisations.
“TTC is about bringing together people with diverse experiences and backgrounds, and rich financial and leadership expertise, to drive the sustainable futures that our sector desperately needs. We are leveraging CFG’s DNA as a collaborator to bring people together to act.”
Sarah Lomax, Co-CEO, CFG, comments:
“The Transformation Collaborative represents everything we believe in at CFG – the power of bringing people together and convening impactful networks, the importance of safe spaces for honest, open conversation, and the potential of the sector to solve its own challenges.
“At a time when charities face unprecedented pressures, we need bold, innovative approaches to financial sustainability. By dedicating time and creating space for both personal transformation and collective action, we're not just responding to the sector's needs – we're working together to shape its future. This is collaboration in its truest sense, and we're excited to see the impact it will create.”

About CFG
CFG is the charity and membership organisation that supports other charitable organisations to make the biggest difference possible. We do this by helping them to make their money and resources go further, by putting financial leadership at the heart of their decision-making.
Since CFG was founded in 1987, we have evolved to welcome all finance professionals working for charitable and social change organisations. We also welcome non-finance professionals who recognise that we deliver greater impact when we are financially confident, trustworthy and dynamic.
Today, CFG’s vibrant community manages around one third of the UK’s entire charity sector income. We are a diverse and inclusive community of people who are passionate about delivering impact through financial leadership. Together, we lead the way for charity finance.
About The Transformation Collaborative (TTC)
The Transformation Collaborative includes two elements – Transforming You, designed to support personal and organisational growth, and Transforming Our Sector, a group that will drive sustainable change for the whole sector.
Membership of TTC in 2026 is open to senior level charity finance professionals and leaders, including CFOs and Heads of Finance, working in charities with an income of £10m or above.
Transforming You is currently available for larger charities and we are actively exploring ways to roll out the initiative to all. For more information, please visit CFG’s website.
